Vera’s Career Advice: Be ambitious, but not too competitive. It makes life a lot harder and more stressful.
First, tell us a little bit about yourself:
I am studying for my B.A. in International Business Studies and Cultural Studies in Passau. Passau is a really good place to study because the city basically consists just of students. The only disadvantage is that you have to go away for the semester break because no students are around and there is nothing going on. Anyway, this made me want to do a few internships during the semester breaks.
When I was younger I had lots of hobbies because there was so much free time: I played the piano, volleyball, etc. Now the only hobby I still pursue is dancing. I have been taking jazz dance lessons since I was 5 years old, and I still love it.
How did you first become interested in working as an intern at Allianz? Describe your experience of applying for your internship.
Actually, I did my first internship here in the 9th Grade at high school, and I enjoyed it very much. I can still remember the good food (which was really important to me at 15 years old!). I chose Allianz because I was really interested in working for a global company with people from all over the world.
