Employee Insights: Meet Alina Morozova

by Alina Morozova - October 23rd, 2014

The atmosphere in the company is very friendly.  It’s difficult to describe, but you can feel it all over the office. I admire my team: people are really working a lot, but there is always time for a good joke.

My biggest achievement of the last months was a new job at Allianz SE in Munich. Two months ago I started as a working student in the Customer Interaction & Policy Management department. I am very happy to have joined the company and my team. Of course I have a lot of impressions after my first working weeks here, which I would like to share with all of you:

During my first working day I got lost somewhere between Building G and A. Not a very good beginning! 🙂  The Schwabing office consists of pretty many buildings and at some point I lost my way. Thanks to my colleague I got rescued. We are desk neighbors and she is my “buddy”. She was helping me with my new responsibilities in the beginning. There is also a support program for newcomers, which I find very useful.

Mostly I am busy with assisting my colleagues in my department. And I can say that I have already learned a lot. The department I am assisting with some small and big tasks consists of 12 people. I am working in the SAP system, organizing meetings and teleconferences with other Operational Entities of Allianz as well as business trips. Furthermore, i am creating presentation drafts and proof reading papers that our department issues. I have learned a lot about insurance business and especially Operations since I came here and I am really looking forward to what will come up later.

The department develops specifications, target pictures and white papers for related processes and operational touch points in good collaboration with all involved stakeholders in order to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Customer Interaction is responsible for developing and improving the operational relevant customer touch points to drive automation and self-service within operations without compromising customer satisfaction. Policy Management is responsible for designing and enhancing operational model for processes of policy administration.

The atmosphere in the company is very friendly.  It’s difficult to describe, but you can feel it all over the office. People are always smiling, greeting each other and are very helpful. I admire my team: people are really working a lot, but there is always time for a good joke.

And last but not least, what I also like about my job here is the food 🙂 I am very picky when it comes to eating and I was so pleased to see such a tasty variety of dishes in the canteen. Usually people try to organize some lunch appointments with the colleagues and as a working student you get a unique possibility for networking. Also there are working student and intern lunches, where I have met many people from all over the world.

These are only a few of my impressions about my new job. I am looking forward to what coming weeks will bring.
